| Do I need vaccinations? | No, vaccinations are not necessary, nor required. Malaria doesn't exist in this part of Brazil. Brazil request only incoming passengers from some Latinamerican or African countries a vaccination against Yellow Fever. |
| What is the weather like? | Bahia has a tropical climate. All year around there is a temperature between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius (84 F.). |
| How many hours per day/week? | The course has 20/22 hours a week, 4 lessons a day from monday till friday/saturdar. For some that might be to intensive, for others not enough. It will be decided with the students. |
| How do I get to Salvador? | There is a daily flight from Lisbon (TAP, with connexions in all Europe) to Salvador. The brazilian carrier TAM has direct flights from Miami to Salvador. There are also direct charterflights from Amsterdam, Brussels and London to Salvador. Most of the flights from the Americas to Salvador have a connexion in São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. |
| How do I get from the airport to 'Sitio Imbassaí'? | We are located at an one hour drive from the International airport of Salvador. We can pick you up with our own transport. The fare is 60 Euros, which can be shared if there is more than one passenger. |
| How far is the property from the beach? | About 3 kilometers (2 miles). You can walk it, but we can also bring and pick you up. It's just a 3 minutes drive. |
| Do I have to do a prepayment? | Yes, a prepayment of 25 % is requested in order to confirm your reservation. |
| How do I do local payments? | We only accept cash: in USD, Euro or brazilian Real. Dollars and Euros are welcome in exchange-offices. Credit-cards are accepted in most stores. There is an ATM on the airport and in Praia do Forte (10 km from Sítio Imbassaí). Travel-cheques have a very unfavourable rate. |
